Default 2016 Mazda Atenza Coupe?

I know it's been asked as early as the 1st gen Mazda6. I don't know how reliable this website is but I came across a July 30, 2016 post stating that Mazda will release an Atenza coupe this fall.

Probably won't see it in North America (assuming it's real) unless the Accord has been selling coupes in decent numbers. I would say Mazda would give the Accord coupe a run for its money if it does bring over a 6 coupe. (get it?)

My goodness they are running out of names! What do you get when you combine a Altezza, Cadenza, Venza, and Altima? Sheesh, hire some creative minds!

Yeah, I like BMW naming. 316i, 318d, 320d, 328i, 330i, 335i, 340i. Probably the most creative naming in the industry.

Really? What does that have to do with anything? It isn't as if Toyota has the best names all around, especially the nameplate Isis. Atenza has been around since 2000 (JP trademark), well before Cadenza and Venza were even thought up and trademarked.

Some of you can be too US-centric, forgetting that this is a Japan and China only trademark.

I and the majority of the buying public could care little what these cars are called in other countries. This is America, so we better be US-centric. My beef is not with this exact name, but with the group as a whole. It's too similar to all the others listed out. Not original. Not exciting. The other brands are just as guilty- not just picking on Mazda.
