I don't live in West Vancouver, but we do have bears living nearby in the forest, their nose is very sharp, so they can smell food from very far away. We have had bears trying to raid garbage cans in the neighborhood, but never cars lol.

West Vancouver have had bear incidences before, the one I recall the most is that of a rennovating home where the doors were left open, the woman who lived there baked a pie and left it to cool on the kitchen counter, then left the house. During lunch hour, the workers left for lunch, not knowing nobody is in the house. When the woman returned, she found a bear sitting on the counter licking the pie plate lol

It looks like a new 2016 RX. Unless there is a bunch of body damage we can't see, I don't think it would be totaled. Might have trashed that interior to the tune of $10-20k in parts, but if the car is worth 50k(or 70k CND) I doubt they'd write it off.

EDIT: After looking at the dash a little closer, that car could be a 2011-2015 car. So yeah they might write it off depending on how new it is.

I was going to say that the unique centre stack gives it away as the last-gen (pre-2016) model.

Surprised that he didn't hear the bear ripping through his vehicle? Gotta be some noise with all that damage.

Indeed. I should have also mentioned the center stack tells of 2013-2015 because it has the RADIO and MEDIA buttons rather than the slew of audio source buttons the 2010-2012 had.
