I drove an RC-F today
Today I drove an I test drove an RC-F and an RC 350. I have a 2013 GS 350 F-Sport and expected the RC-F to be fantastic. Well, I was underwhelmed. The seats in my GS have more adjustments and are more comfortable, The RC does not have the large screen that my GS does. I expected the RC-F to be super-fast. I have driven a Porsche 911S, and I was impressed. The RC-F was nothing comparable. So, I am happy with my GS, and will not "upgrade". Maybe when the LC500 is available, but not for now.

How does this work with test driving a brand new car like this? Do they just let you punch the gas pedal and floor it/throw it around the corners like you're on some race track?
Doesn't the engine need to be broken in first? I am amazed Lexus dealer let him "really" get a feel for the car on a short test drive.

There are plenty of reasons not to like the RC-F. But the OP compared the comfort/amenities of that car to a more luxurious class of car, all the while comparing the performance to a completely different class of car that's not even in the same ballpark (2-seater sports car, 500 lbs less, far more expensive to boot). That's just not reasonable. Perhaps in this context, the OP's word choice (e.g., "upgrade") suggests he thought the RC-F would be better than the GS on all fronts, indicating improper expectations.

Heck I wish I could FIT in that seat. The lats bolster was very tight squeeze. I didn't even bother to drive it. What's the point if I have to sit sideways in it. A Russian neighbor bought one and he's bigger than me & I asked how he fit in that car. He laughed and made the sideways motion. His wife on the other hand is dainty and fits perfectly like a flower in a vase. I see her driving it most of the time.
