Oh my...

You think there is flood damage to it now?

I guess he couldn't bear to wait behind six cars that were nowhere near water.

Maybe he thought it was a remake of The Spy Who Loved Me--if you squint, I suppose you could mistake it for a Lotus Esprit.

The car will be fine. No problems. The engine is in the back.

Lol. Flash floods everywhere this week in SD. This video clearly shows that it doesn't rain much. People can't gauge how deep the puddles are and as a result many stuck cars in flooded areas. The lamb was lucky that he was able to plow thru it

Engine in the back or not, the water must have gotten in the frunk and seep through the door where all the electronic nannies are :/

All the news stories about this act like "wow, look at this guy, he passed thru all that water and his car survived". We still don't know if fish fell out of his car when he opened his doors later on.

Here in Houston (it's not called the "Bayou City" for nothin'), I've seen too many good cars destroyed by their idiot drivers running into water that was far deeper than they expected. Think door-handle deep here. When water reaches the air intakes, bye-bye motor. Even if the water just gets to the ECU and other electrical control systems that are usually mounted low, the car goes to the crusher. I can't imagine a destination so important that it's worth trashing a Lambo - or any other car - for the cost of inconvenience or a few minutes' delay.

But beyond destroying your car, such foolish acts can often kill people when vehicles are swept off the road by rushing water. It doesn't take a whole lot of water to "float" a car, sometimes in a small car, only a foot. Once you float, you're out of control and just another piece of debris at the mercy of the current . . . until the cabin fills with water and you sink as you are tumbled by the flow of the water. You probably won't survive.

If you see water on the road and don't have a curb for reference as to its depth, turn around and get out of there. If you find yourself marooned in an dry area surrounded by water, stay put. The flood will probably last only a few minutes - or a couple of hours if your area doesn't drain well. It may cost you some time, but what's that compared to the loss of your car - and possibly your life?

the paint scratches alone will make it totally not worth the 30 seconds he may have saved, unless he was running from the cops or something

Also, consider that it doesn't take very much water to get up to a Lambo's door handle. Like many exotics, it sits extremely low to the ground.
