i agree with this. if the gsf is not taking on a v10, it's hard for me to imagine the lf-lc to take in v10 in any form. would be a huge surprise but i am not betting my money
I was under the impression it was for the LFA II.
LS and LF-LC should be debuting new powertrains or heavily revised ones by the time they release in a few years. I imagine a FI V6 as base, FI V8 and V8 Hybrid will be some of the available choices when the LF-LC arrives.

Of course that little voice in the back of my mind is saying "I hope you're wrong, I hope you're wrong, bring the V10!!"
In the past, any GS sedan > a regular 6 cyliinder did not sell many, even outsold by the SC 430.
There is a bigger market for a high end coupe like the LF-LC (especially one that has a design as appealing as the LF-LC), than a GS-F, given that the current generation GS has an overall blah design (I personally have zero interest in a 4GS-F myself even though I still want them to produce it)
I actually think LF-LC would be a bigger seller than a GS-F and it actually makes more sense to have the V10 than the GS-F.

i don't think bmw sells more m6 than m5, for mb i don't think they sell more cl63 than s63 or more clk63 than e63.
lexus sold more sc430 than gs430 because there is no sc300. i am pretty sure if they have sc300, a lot of the cars would have been sc300 (or if we fall back to 1sc, most of them are sc300). when you only have one big engine choice, people who want the car for styling they will have no choice. similarly i would agree bmw sold more 650i than 550i too
i think we just have to separate out the "regular" model vs the f model. there is no way the v10 will remotely make it into the regular model, so i think that's staying hybrid. on the f, i agree it's definitely a step up from the gsf (and higher demand, more nitchy) and can benefit from a v10 scf, but then i am still doubtful they would do that. m5 and m6 same engine. e63, sl63, s63 same engine
i think that's apple to orange. let's say lf-lc will be the next sc. and by v10 i suppose you are talking about scf, in which case i doubt they will sell more of that than the gsf.
