Lexus is put in a tough spot right now. If new LS doesn't match the technology of these cars than the whole delay of the flagship was pointless. New LS will tell us the truth if they are ready to fight on the technology front. I hope they are.
When optioned properly I think the F10 5-series doesn't embarass itself, but I agree the Lexus GS is clearly better. When I made my original post (that BrownPride responded to) I was talking about overall appeal. The F10's range of engines, great lease deals, looks, and options list made it a no-brainer for many. The dynamics on most models sold were unappealing to me, however. Anyways, back to the E-class:
The E class looks great. I love the rear lights, looks very RR/Bentley to me.
I still can't make myself like this new E class exterior, despite the great interior design. While I love love love the look of the S class, hopefully the AMG version would look better.

Don't like the new E Class either. I hate how all Mercedes cars are looking exactly the same now except with different wheel bases. The new interior looks great, but I had a loaner C Class the other day and the infotainment system is very annoying and slow to use. Mercedes really lacks in this department.
Now that is how you do factory wheels and fitment right.
Right there with you on the fitment--it's nigh-on perfect. Nothing worse than a luxury car that looks like it should be riding on knobby tires. Not feeling the wheels themselves though. Can't quite articulate why.

I don't like how the inside of the wheel is painted black. I prefer that wheel style in all-silver:

The E-class is getting the heavily updated system that's much faster.
The red E in that picture should have the night black package on it so the inside of the rims are black, but they should also be optionally available with the all silver, not with the night package, but with the sport package
Since the CLS is based on the E Class, does this new E Class mean that a new CLS is coming out soon?
Well, the C-class, E-class, and next-gen S-class will all be on the same "MRA" platform so that is a logical extension. Word on the street is that it may be rebadged CLE though.

Yep! Thank goodness for that. I really only like the night package on the AMG's.
