How reliable are 2012+ X5's ?

I bought a 2012 x5 5.0 after sandy, and this is the least of parts that were replaced so far. Mind you, the truck still don't even have 20k on the clock. Love how it drives, but this is the last BMW that I own, will only lease them from now on.

That is a scary long list for a relatively new car. As much as I love the looks, this I think would make me look elsewhere. I wish the RX would not look so damn feminine.

They finally fixed that with 2016 RX. It looks aggressive.

The N63 V8 is not as reliable as the N55 inline6.
I would stick the X5 35i model if you are getting used.

Have you considered Cayenne - great SUVs and reliable if u stick with the V6.

I actually did. It was my 2nd choice, but their engines are eating too much oil.

FYI, most BMW engines consume oil, especially their V8s. I don't think there are any problems associated with that in the long term, as long as you maintain proper oil level and change it on time.
