Default Early lease trade in

So today I was at the Lexus dealer checking out an RC, when the salesman told me that in the last six months of my lease I would get an offer from Lexus to trade back my car for another Lexus. Does anyone know the details behind this?

Usually 3 months towards the end of the lease u'll get the voucher to trade it in early without penalty. TFS did that to my Camry last time, as long as ur getting another Toyota or Lexus.

interesting. which dealership was this and the saleman? PM me please if you think this is more appopriate. I am 8 months away from my lease termination and it would be great if I can return it six months prior w/o penalty and remaining lease payment.

I was told this 6 month thing as well when I leased my GS a few months ago. It's not in writing, so I put little credence in it.

Curious as to why you did not get the details while you were there?

They will most likely roll the remaining payments into ur new car without u even knowing it.

There weren't any. The salesman just said to look out for a letter. He said it not with rolled in balance, it may as well be a fairy I dunno.

No need to accuse the dealer of nefarious acts yet-don't need a letter to sneak rolling payments into a new lease.

It is not unusual for auto manufacturers to waive remaining lease payments if you purchase a new car.

For example Land Rover in the past has waived 3 lease payments up to total dollar value not to exceed $2500 if you buy a new car.

Exactly! Spot
On. I wouldn't have posted this if I thought it was like a trade in!! Now wheather this is actually going to happen or not is a different story, but I have been told that it is the case by multiple Lexus reps!

Hey it's ur money not mine. I know TFS won't waive 5 payments left, they offered me at 3 remaining, in writing. LFS is TFS so they should have the same policy.
