GM Statement:
General Motors is recalling approximately 96,145 2013-16 model year ATS sedans in the U.S. Some of these vehicles may have been manufactured with critically weak terminal connectivity in the coil antenna module, which powers the rear defogger system. If the module has the condition and is subjected to excessive cycling or continuous operation, it may overheat and a fire may develop inside the rear pillar on the driver's side of the vehicle. Less than 1 percent of the recalled vehicles are expected to have the condition. GM is aware of four fires but no injuries, fatalities or crashes. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total population of the recall is approximately 119,339.

FORD ISSUES FIVE SAFETY RECALLS AND ONE SAFETY COMPLIANCE RECALL IN NORTH AMERICA
DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 30, 2015 – Ford Motor Company is issuing five safety recalls and one safety compliance recall in North America. A small number of accidents are attributed to these conditions; no injuries. Details are as follows:
Ford issues safety recall for certain 1998-2003 Ford Windstar vehicles for rear axle inspection
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 340,000 1998-2003 Ford Windstar vehicles for a potential issue with a previous safety recall repair. There is a risk that the combined effects of corrosion and stress can lead to cracks in the axle that – if undetected – can grow and result in a complete fracture. The previous recall repair involved installing a rear axle reinforcement bracket to mitigate the safety risk in the event of an axle fracture. A bracket incorrectly installed could limit the effectiveness of that recall repair. A fractured rear axle could affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford is aware of a small number of accidents that might be connected to this issue, but no injuries.
Affected vehicles include certain 1998-2003 Ford Windstar vehicles that received rear axle reinforcement brackets during a previous safety recall repair and were built at Oakville Assembly Plant Sept. 2, 1997 through July 3, 2003.
There are a total of approximately 340,000 (actual 342,271) vehicles originally produced that might be affected in North America. Of this total, 283,413 vehicles are located in the United States and federalized territories, and 58,858 are in Canada.
Dealers will inspect these vehicles to determine if the brackets were correctly installed. Customers whose vehicles had the bracket installed incorrectly will have their rear axle replaced. If the bracket was correctly installed, customers will receive an incentive to replace their rear axle at a reduced cost. The offer is good for one year with unlimited mileage.
Ford issues safety recall for certain 2001-2008 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner vehicles with remanufactured transmissions for potential issue
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 70 2001-2008 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner vehicles with a remanufactured transmission due to a possible loose shift control lever bolt. In these vehicles, the shift control lever bolt might not have been tightened properly, which could cause the shift lever to disengage from the transmission without warning. This can result in the loss of transmission gear selection and the vehicle could roll away, increasing the risk of an injury or crash.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue.
Affected vehicles include certain 2001-2008 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner vehicles with remanufactured transmissions that were built June 11, 2015 through July 5, 2015.
There are a total of approximately 70 (actual 69) vehicles that might be affected in North America. There are 57 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories, 11 in Canada and one in Mexico.
Dealers will check to ensure the shift control lever bolt is tightened properly at no cost to the customer.
Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles for potential adaptive cruise control issue
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 37,000 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles for a potential issue with adaptive cruise control. When passing a large, highly reflective truck, the adaptive cruise control radar in some of these vehicles could incorrectly identify the truck as being in the F-150 lane of travel when it is not. As a result, the vehicle might apply the brakes until the truck is no longer perceived to be in the lane of travel. The collision warning system red warning light might also flash and a tone might be heard at the same time. When this happens, the brake lights will illuminate. The potential duration of this unexpected adaptive cruise control braking could increase the risk of a crash involving a vehicle behind the F-150.
Ford received a report of one accident that could be related to this issue; no injuries were reported.
Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles built at Dearborn Truck Plant, March 18, 2014 through Aug. 5, 2015, and at Kansas City Assembly Plant, Aug. 11, 2014 through Aug. 6, 2015.
There are a total of approximately 37,000 (actual 36,857) vehicles that might be affected in North America. There are 33,481 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories, and 3,376 in Canada.
Dealers will update the adaptive cruise control module software at no cost to the customer.
Ford issues safety recall for certain 2015 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS vehicles, and certain 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles for potential fuel tank attachment bolt issue
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 250 2015 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS vehicles, as well as 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles for a potential issue with the fuel tank attachment bolts that might not have been tightened properly. As a result, the fuel tank straps could fracture after an extended period of time, causing the fuel tank to separate from the vehicle, leading to a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can lead to a fire.
Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries or fires associated with this issue.
Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS vehicles, and certain 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant on July 24, 2015.
There are a total of approximately 250 (actual 251) vehicles that might be affected in North America. There are 203 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories, and 48 in Canada.
Dealers will properly tighten the fuel tank attachment bolts at no cost to the customer.
Ford issues safety recall for certain 2016 Ford F-53 and F-59 stripped chassis vehicles for potential shift control bracket issue
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 1,500 2016 Ford F-53 and F-59 stripped chassis vehicles for a potential issue with the shift control bracket. The shift control bracket might not have been manufactured properly, so the vehicle might be able to be shifted into reverse without applying the brakes. This could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of accident or injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue.
Affected vehicles include certain 2016 Ford F-53 and F-59 vehicles built at Detroit Chassis Plant, June 1, 2015 through Aug. 11, 2015.
There are a total of approximately 1,500 (actual 1,477) vehicles that might be affected in North America – all located in the United States.
Dealers will replace the transmission shift control bracket and adjust the shift cable at no cost to the customer.
Ford issues safety compliance recall for certain 2016 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles for fuel tank issue
Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety compliance recall for approximately 700 2016 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles for a potential compliance issue with the fuel tank. In these vehicles, the fuel tank might not have been manufactured properly and could crack in a crash, which is a compliance issue with FMVSS 301 regarding fuel system integrity. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.
Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries or fires associated with this issue.
Affected vehicles include certain 2016 Ford Fusion vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, Sept. 3, 2015 through Sept. 13, 2015, and certain 2016 Lincoln MKZ vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, Sept. 3, 2015 through Sept. 12, 2015.
There are a total of approximately 700 (actual 708) vehicles that might be affected in North America. There are 658 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories, 28 in Canada and 22 in Mexico.
Dealers will replace the fuel tank at no cost to the customer.

Statement by American Honda Regarding CVT Drive Pulley Shaft Recall: 2014-2015 Civic and 2015 Honda Fit
Oct 1, 2015 - TORRANCE, Calif.
Honda will voluntarily recall approximately 143,000 model-year 2014-2015 Civic and 2015 Fit vehicles in the United States to update the software that manages the continuously variable transmission (CVT), free of charge. Affected vehicles have CVT control software that is written to use high hydraulic pressure during certain CVT operation modes, which as a result may subject the drive pulley shaft to high stress. In addition, during manufacturing of the drive pulley shaft, some parts may have been produced at the low end of the hardness specification. If shafts with lower hardness are repeatedly subjected to the specific high hydraulic pressure modes, it may result in the shaft breaking during operation. If the drive pulley shaft breaks, the vehicle may lose acceleration or the front wheels may lock up while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue, which was discovered through the warranty claim process in the United States.
Honda is announcing this recall to encourage each owner of an affected vehicle to take it to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Honda. Mailed notification to customers will begin in mid-October, 2015. Additionally, owners of these vehicles can determine if their vehicles require repair now by going to www.recalls.honda.com or by calling (888) 234-2138.

Statement by American Honda Regarding Cell Voltage Sensor Recall: 2014-2015 Accord Hybrid
Oct 5, 2015 - TORRANCE, Calif.
Honda will voluntarily recall 6,786 model-year 2014-2015 Accord Hybrid vehicles in the United States to update the hybrid system software related to the hybrid battery cell voltage sensor (CVS), free of charge. No injuries have been reported related to this issue, which was discovered through the warranty claim process.
The CVS may not have sufficient electrical noise toughness, which may result in the CVS incorrectly interpreting electrical noise from the hybrid battery inverter and motor circuits. If the CVS incorrectly interprets the electrical noise, it can cause the vehicle to switch to a fail-safe electric vehicle (EV) mode in which the vehicle uses the electric motor for propulsion, with braking and steering functionality operating on electric power only. If the vehicle switches to fail-safe EV mode while cruising at highway speed, the internal combustion engine will shut off with visual and audible warnings and the vehicle will experience a sudden loss of power, with the maximum speed limited to approximately 40 mph. Once in fail-safe EV mode, the vehicle may be able to travel for up to two miles at which time the hybrid battery will likely completely discharge. If the battery completely discharges while the vehicle is still in operation, the vehicle will stall, increasing the risk of a crash. The software update will prevent misinterpretation of the noted electrical noise.
Honda is announcing this recall to encourage each owner of an affected vehicle to take it to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Honda. Mailed notification to customers will begin in early November, 2015. Additionally, owners of these vehicles can determine if their vehicles require repair now by going to www.recalls.honda.com or by calling (888) 234-2138.

GM Statement:
General Motors has told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it will recall approximately 29,295 2016 model year Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia SUVs in the U.S. because the front windshield wiper motor may overheat when in use because of a manufacturing defect. In some cases, the front windshield wiper motor cover may melt, smoke or catch fire. The approximately 6,405 customers who have taken delivery of these vehicles were notified by overnight letter and are urged to contact a GM dealer as soon as possible to arrange a service appointment. These customers should not use the front windshield wipers until they have been repaired. If weather conditions prevent driving the vehicle without using the windshield wipers, GM will arrange to pick up the vehicle for servicing. If repair parts are unavailable, GM will provide a rental car at no cost until parts become available. The total population, including Canada, Mexico and exports, is approximately 31,685. About 25,280 of these vehicles are in dealer stock and will not be sold until repairs are made.

TOYOTA RECALLS CERTAIN TACOMA PICKUP TRUCKS
TORRANCE, Calif., October 13, 2015 – Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. today announced that it is conducting a safety recall of approximately 310 Model Year 2016 Tacoma Pickup Trucks.
The involved vehicles are equipped with a driver's knee air bag module that is attached to the instrument panel reinforcement by four bolts. There is a possibility that incorrect bolts were installed during vehicle assembly at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Baja California plant. This could result in the bolts loosening over time. A loosened bolt could affect the performance of the knee air bag, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified by first class mail. Toyota dealers will replace the bolts with bolts of the correct specification.
Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is subject to change over time. For the most up-to-date Safety Recall information on Toyota, Lexus or Scion vehicles, customers should check their vehicle's status by visiting toyota.com/recall and entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Safety Recall inquiry by individual VIN is also available at the NHTSA site: safercar.gov/vin. For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling Toyota Customer Service at 1-800-331-4331, or Lexus Customer Service at 1-800-255-3987.

GM Statement
General Motors is recalling 9,932 older midsize SUVs in the U.S. because they were mistakenly excluded from an earlier recall. Certain 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL, and 2006-2007 TrailBlazer, Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X and Isuzu Ascender vehicles may continue to have a condition in which the printed circuit board inside the driver's door may corrode and short if exposed to certain fluids such as melted snow containing road salt. GM is aware of four fires but no crashes, injuries or fatalities associated with the expanded recall. The total number of vehicles being recalled, including Canada, Mexico and exports is 10.974. Customers are urged to park these vehicles outside until repairs have been made. GM reported this recall to the NHTSA on September 23.

SUMMARY:
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy vehicles, and 2006 GMC Envoy XL and Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT vehicles. Fluid may enter into the driver's door master power window switch module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board, causing window switches to become inoperative. CONSEQUENCE:
In the event of a vehicle crash, an air bag that does not deploy properly increases the risk of injury to the front seat passenger.
REMEDY:
MINI and BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag module, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on November 20, 2015. Owners may contact MINI customer service at 1-866-825-1525 and BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
NOTES:
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
BMW Statement:
BMW has informed NHTSA of its intention to voluntarily recall approximately 923 BMW i3 vehicles to replace the passenger-side front airbag module.
Due to a supplier error in the manufacturing process, internal components of the air bag inflator were not assembled as specified. In a low speed crash in which the passenger-side front air bag deploys, inappropriate air bag restraint may be provided to the passenger, increasing the risk of injury.
Owners and lessees of affected vehicles will be notified via First Class mail. The passenger-side front air bag module will be replaced free of charge.
The company is unaware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
Customers with questions should contact BMW Customer Relations at 1-800-525-7417 or email CustomerRelations@bmwusa.com.
Mini Statement
MINI USA has informed NHTSA that the company will conduct a voluntary non-compliance recall to replace the passenger-side front airbag module on certain Model Year 2014 – 2016 MINI Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works 2 Door and 4 Door Hardtop models.

Toyota Recalls Certain Vehicles for Power Window Master Switch
October 21, 2015
TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 20, 2015 – Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it is conducting a safety recall of approximately 2,000,000 vehicles related to the driver's side Power Window Master Switch. The involved vehicles include certain:
2007 and 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid
2009-2011 Corolla
2008-2011 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid
2009-2011 Matrix
2006-2011 RAV4
2009-2011 Sequoia
2009-2011 Tundra
2006-2010 Yaris
2009-2011 Scion xB
2009-2010 Scion xD
The Power Window Master Switch in the involved vehicles may have been manufactured with insufficient lubricant grease. If not enough grease is applied, under certain conditions the switch may develop a short circuit that can cause the switch assembly to overheat and melt. A melting switch can produce smoke and potentially lead to a fire.
Toyota previously recalled certain 2007-2009 model year vehicles for a similar condition. This Safety Recall adds vehicles not previously involved in the prior action that utilized an alternative lubricant application method.
Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified by first class mail. Toyota dealers will inspect the switch and apply heat-resistant grease. If the switch is not operating normally, an internal circuit board will be replaced.
