I could see the Touring Elite moving to the Acura label to create the space.

Additional sound insulation, the ELS sound system and maybe if they can conquer the crappy third row ride comfort issues that haunt all minivans, that'd be worth it.

 

Actually, the third row seating is pretty comfy in the new Odyssey. It's in the crossovers like in the MDX that third row seating is crappy.

 

This is great.

It seems they are taking a page our of Mercedes Benz and the V class.

This should work well simply because not every rich family or VIP airport shuttle traveller wants to ride a bulky SUV.
