Hoping to replace the little woman's CRV with one of these....would love to see a small turbocharged engine in this thing someday. I am enjoying 37 MPG Hwy in my WRX...wouldn't need all of that power in the Outback of course, but after having 3 Legacies with the 2.5L, well that engine is 20 years old now and the day of large 4 cylinders has come and gone IMO.

The Outback may not be the car for everyone, but it is designed the way it is for good reason.....and, like some other Subarus, developed a cult-like following.
