Flash back from September 2007 . Back then engine choices in the GCC ranged from the single VVT-I 1GR-FE 240 hp or the legendary buttery smooth 2UZ-FE 4.7 with 271hp.

Engine choices on the GCC Spec LC200 range from a V8 ( 5.7 - 4.6 ) 6 Speed auto - V6 ( 4.0 ) 5 speed auto or 5 speed manual Or a V8 diesel ( 4.5 ) 6 speed auto/twin turbo or 5 speed manual/single turbo

The GX-R model has also been updated with a new limited varient added to the GX-R family . It comes with smoked wheels and a front bumper/new grille.

Such a capable and nostaligic vehicle. Just never been a fan of the design. Being a Ford guy I'd probably get an Expedition if looking for a full size BOF SUV IMHO

I was just on Toyota's website, a new Land Cruiser is $82,000 freaking dollars in the US. That's stupid $$$$ IMO. You get a choice of four paint colors, two interior colors, and it comes fully loaded, no options. Only engine available is the 5.7 V8. A Lexus LX570 starts at $82,000 and has a much nicer interior IMO.

Its nice how you actually get options on the Land Cruiser in your part of the world. What does a fully loaded one go for in the middle east???

probably a lot more due to taxes :-)

but yes, in GCC they have the largest variety of Land Cruisers, together with Australia. There are base workhorse Land Cruisers sold there with equipment similar to base Tacoma.

Top of the Range VX-R 5.7 in Qatar costs $82k and could be had for a few grand cheaper right now for a 2014 model.

Top of the Range LX570s lists for around $109k with the base LX going for around $94k

Prices and Specs do vary slightly between different countries in the GCC.

Many buyers are skipping the VX-R and going for the LX.

Hmmm, interesting changes. I am not sure what is going on here, but it seems that I am puzzled about the next 300 variants. As usual, thanks for briefing everyone.
