My cousin got a speeding ticket driving my car in Canada on the way home to VA. Do they have access to US DMV system? should i be worry?

 

His insurance will not get any info about it. It shouldn't affect his record or rate.

Technically, he doesn't have to pay for the ticket. He will have a warrant for the citation. He won't be able to step back into Canada. Only if he decides not to pay.

 

An arrest warrant can also show up when an employer does a background check.

 

He was driving my car but would they know who it belongs to? We got caught by the speeding camera and it was this past weekend. Would i get some kind of notice in the mail?

 

I would double check. I know speeding tickets in Quebec do transfer over (points and fines) into NY state. Likely because so many of us NY'ers travel there. I don't know if it is just NY or other states also. But since it was a camera, it's just like in the US, no points just a fine.
