Default 2016 Kia Sorento

Looks like Kia is continuing its move to more premium designs.

This time the front looks like Volvo.

Definitely a mix of XC60, some Jag and maybe some of the Infiniti QX60/JX35. But those are all premium type brands.

A nice contemporary look. I don't see any exhaust tips. Is this a trend (RX, RDX, MDX etc.)?

Front end screams Volvo, the side does look very Highlander-esque, and that rear end is pretty VW in execution, but it does look very nice

But what LexBob is talking about is a specific design element integrated into the rear fascia. Obviously it has tailpipes.

Last Gen MDX had them:

New Gen has them hidden/tucked up:

Previous Sorento had it exposed (one side only) on the top trims I believe:

The last Sorento was very impressively done. Hope they carry its good points over to the new one. I found its comfort and refinement, especially on the top-line model (which can run 40K or more) almost to the Lexus RX level.

i'm kinda stunned at the tech offered in the new sonata (from kia's parent brand hyundai) with lane departure, adaptive cruise, etc. these features are not on the current sorrento. i'm sure the new one will get the full monty.

nice. same size now as the 2008 to 2013 highlander and grand cherokee... Looks way better than the cheesy pathfinder.

this might be my next suv.

Kia and hyundai always impress me with their styling cues.

their current sorento looked too small and more on the compact suv side. Hopefully this gives is a good presence that a suv needs.

imo, these reviews on newer Hyundai and Kia are meaningless. how many of those will still be on the road 5 years from now? and how much they'd worth by then? probably not much. sure they have the latest gadgets and looks because that's all Korean makers can offer compare to reputable Japanese makers. i'd take a Toyota Rav4 or Honda CRV with low res navigation and cloth seat any day, twice on Sundays.

Kia and Hyundai don't offer that 10/100 warranty for nothing. When you, as a company, commit yourself to stand behind something for 10 years, it means that it can, in most cases, walk the walk....not just talk the talk.

correct me if i'm wrong but that 10yr/100k warranty is just for powertrains only, is it not? many other components can go wrong besides motor and tranny.
