Damn hope they offer this interior in the non-hybrid too! So what happens if someone gets cut up by shattered glass on the door in an accident?

Same as the door window/moonroof/back window glass?

Man, that interior really is something else. I recently was taken to lunch in the back of a 2016 S-Class and it wasn't anything like that...

I wonder if there will be accent lighting behind the glass work. Done, right, it would look great.

That's what I said too when I saw the interior, particularly that door panel

Correct me if I'm wrong, that center arm rest folds up (you can see the top of the head rest) which means another person can sit there, vs. the older executive seating where there's a stationary center console making it only a 2+2.

There is a difference between Craftsmanship video and released photos in seat memory buttons placement next to door handle.

definitely intricate and Im sure, high level of craftsmanship, but beautiful? hard to say. Pleating seems a bit too busy to me. What happened to simplicity in design?

Anyway, will there be a press conference for the LSh?

Whats the difference between pleating and double diamond stitching found in some of the most expensive luxury cars on this earth?

True flagship style, it will bring many buyers. People spending this type of coins on cars want something good and different.

Lexus's newest hybrid sedan is aimed squarely at Mercedes-Benz and Tesla.

The LS 500h that debuted Tuesday at the Geneva auto show is an electric- and gasoline version of Lexus's flagship sedan.

But where Tesla's $70,000 Model S comes with an all-electric engine system, and the Mercedes S-class 550e hybrid boasts a 436-hp V-6 engine and plug-in hybrid electric motor, the Lexus hybrid has a V-6 gasoline engine paired with 2 electric motors, a small lithium-ion battery, and the equivalent of 354 horsepower on a multi-stage hybrid transmission that acts like a 10-speed gearbox. It will go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.

Lexus hasn't released the price, but expect it to compete directly with the Model S at a base level and go near $90,000 on the top end.

The LS 500h looks identical to the standard version, which made its world premiere at this year's Detroit auto show and comes in a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 gasoline engine.

The hybrid is a strong step forward for the Toyota-owned luxury brand, which has struggled in recent years with over-styled and under-performing vehicles.

The new LS 500 and accompanying LC ranges still have the unique, Lexus-style gaping front grille, but it's been paired down and pinched into more of a refined aesthetic. The 123-inch wheelbase of the new LS is now also 330mm (1.3 inches) longer than on the current long wheelbase LS 600h L.

Long, sweeping lines from front to rear give the car a coupe-like profile. The rear tail lights use high-def red lines that form a sharp corner at each end, providing an edge to counter the curves.

Inside, Lexus has used the concept of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality, to define the environment. Front and rear seats have power adjustment, heating, cooling, and massage functions. There is also a leg-extending ottoman option for the rear seats. Wood grain and laser-cut detailing runs throughout, with new interior finish options including "art wood/organic," "art wood/herringbone," and "laser cut special."

The 2018 Lexus LS sedan goes on sale late this year, with the hybrid rolling out soon after.

looks amazing detailed and high quality, but a bit over the top from the photos for my tastes. but then it seems like that's just one of several interior styles?

this maroon 'origami' door panel with the glass seems like something elvis would have liked.

That actually looks like a bunch of "L's" and mimics the grill, at least the F Sport grill. It looks unique and amazing.
