You make some points, but I still wouldn't rule out the next-generation CR-V. The company has been known to change dates/schedules/development time in the past.

Agree. After seeing these pics, you've confirmed my hunch that it's the new compact Buick CUV. There's no doubt in my mind. Side rear windows, small side quarter windows, mirror location/size/shape, front camouflage, overall shape/size, and wheels match.
