Default Manufacture date, plz help!!!

Hi guys,

I intend to import a GS250 from Germany to my country. For import tax, i must find out the exact date of manufacturing (not the year model)

Lexus cars for US market, it is written down on a stamp on a driver door side. However Lexus for Germany market do not have that information on the stamp. Below is the best i can find:

My question is: How do i find the exact date of manufacturing for the car, not the year model, not the first registration.

Thank you very much.

Cuong.

No sir, it is the 4th generation model thus it would not be the case. I just could not find the exact year. Thank for stopping by though. Cheers

I believe that the *2007/46* equals Week 46 of year 2007, which was the 2nd full week of November 2007.

kb86: What model year is this car, do you know? I still believe that it was manufactured in 2007 but if you know the model year, that may help to narrow the choices down a bit.

Also, have you tried decoding the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), the one that starts with JTHBF? You may be able to get information from there.

At the very least they should direct you where to go to find the date.

Any Lexus european dealer will be able to input that into his system and will get production - Month and Year.

I came across the same. Also noticed that there are different ways of encoding VIN data so there may be different ways of decoding it. Best to ask Lexus Europe (or a European dealer) directly.

Check under the hood and see if there isn't another plate somewhere with the date of manufacture.
