All depends on the stated purpose of the loan which is usually 1-2 weeks. If the loan will include testing for "numbers" additional prep is needed. Tires are critical for top speed testing & usually get replaced with a new set to insure there are no punctures. The top magazines return the vehicles clean & full of fuel, freelance journalists, sometimes you're lucky to make it to the closest gas station before it runs out of fuel.

When it comes to digital gauges make another notice: when you return a car to rental service make sure you snap a picture of the fuel tank cause people are not familiar with digital and might mark your car empty. And then you would get additional $200 on top of your quote. Oh and make sure you grab those keys out of a car as well cause they will take it away while you are at the customer service counter.
