The Twin Turbo totally killed the exhaust note and throttle response Could this mean the NA V8 RC-F will be the cooler car with more soul this time around? The end of an era for the BMW M3 after 4 generations?

Yeah...that leaves a lot to be desired for a performance car

 

stock e9x m3 exhaust sounds pretty bad below 4000 rpm as well.

 

just buy an exhaust and your done. TT motor as SOOO much easier to add power to anyway so the tuners are going be all over this new M car

 

I dont mind. Just like I8AMR said tuners are gonna have fun with the M4 especially Burger Motorsports.

Which I think is a bad decision. I like coupes, but I'm a 4 door fan. Loved the IS-F, RS4, M3 and C63 AMG sedans

 

There will still be a M3 sedan, they are just calling the coupe M4.

Stupid if you ask me, almost as dumb as Infiniti calling everything QXX, no one knows what they are.

basically all odd numbers are the sedan, all even numbers are the coupe

 

It's not really that stupid. People actually buying these cars end up caring very little about whether they bought an M4 instead of an M3 in the long run.

Also, it seems as if Mercedes is one of the few to master the art of having a great exhaust note with turbo motors.

Like which one? The M157 sounds nothing remotely as cool as the M156 and M159.
