well just my opinion anyway
I agree. The C63 and ISF have a low pitch rumble over the entire rev range. The M3 has a low pitch rumble in the low rpm, then start to scream after 4k rpm. It is the least expensive engine that begin to have a sound that similar to those exotic scream.

The new M3/M4 Nurburgring videos seem to be noticeably faster than the e9x M3 also. Cant wait for the reveal.
Planning on doing an BMW European Delivery on it.
Great looking and faster for sure

I'll take my sportscars without any NASCAR or full size pickup truck odor, thank you very much.
@ 2:25 ... the defense rests, your honor
The inline 6 2JZ and RB26 sounds cool, is a different flavor to the exotic high revving V8+ sounds.

Not just you, I feel the same way.
The E36 sounds ok, at least it sounds smooth. The E46 sounds raspy, nasty and not smooth, one can argue there is a bit of exotic-ness in it because of it, but I don't like it much.

The last time I checked, a tune on the M5 net 50 hp. Unrestrict a few more things, +100hp should be easy on the M4.
New model is always a few $k more.
Street battle will be between M4 and GTR, but the Bimmer got no traction..............so running from a roll only

GTR is just quick with a hard launch from a dead stop, once is rolling, it just pull the same as any other 500 hp car.
A remapped 500 hp M4 would be neck to neck with a 500 hp GTR once is rolling from 30 mph. Go watch all those videos of GTR vs. various 2WD cars with similar power, they pull equally.

Doesn't sound too bad-just rumbly.
Anything better than a porsche (to me), except a carrera GT
