The really funny thing here is that so many folks on this site having been jonesing for a twin turbo V6 from one of our friendly Japanese makers, Infiniti brings the goods and we still see more grumps than jumps for joy.

Infiniti has been innovating and trying to find a way toward being bigger and better and will get there while Lexus gives us the same old 3.5 from 2005 and a turbo 2.0 that ain't the thing of dreams.

Yes, the LC will be a joyful ride, but without the AWD that is should have to stick to BMW.

I'd totally buy that and even pay a 10k premium for it

The engine is good the car is ugly. V6 turbo GTR & M4/new M3, great combo.

If the car was better looking then I'd look into it. For now my 911 Turbo & RC will do. Infiniti is good reliable car.

Based on these results I have no choice but to... Take the 340i immediately. It's sex on wheels with all the M performance goodies available

Infiniti as a company hasn't really done much for me, ever, granted neither has Nissan so guess that could explain it.

I just love that a non-M 3-series could sticker for $58,420.

EDIT: In the interests of fairness, I just checked the infiniti website and my Q50 Red Sport config was $55,895 and I didn't even include the tech package.

true, but which one do you think will likely get a $10K discount??????

Also, doesn't the Red Sport base come very well equipped vs base 340i?

Base 340i is only $45,800 - lower than the Infiniti. So there's room for packages even before hitting the Infiniti base price. The $58,420 quoted by C+D is pretty much fully equipped, including the very expensive M package, as noted in the review. Add in the tech package to my Infiniti config and you're pretty much right there. These cars are actually very similarly priced when compared option for option. Ironically, one factor that keeps the Infiniti price down in specific configs is that some options (like the tech package) are unavailable without the "Direct Active Steering" option, which I would avoid (and others in this thread have said they wouldn't want).

EDIT: I don't know why I bothered when EZZ already responded to you on this point in an earlier post.

I haven't driven either of these cars - but given how lousy the reviews are for both cars (esp. in steering feel and driver feedback), I think the obvious choice would be to pass over both of these in favor of the 3IS F-Sport.

Bimmers have gotten so expensive. I'm a huge BMW fan but I can't justify some of these prices. Would rather look at a Boxster instead of a 428 convertible given how they pretty much cost the same now!

You'll get a vastly superior driving experience to boot - although at the cost of quite some practicality.

Infiniti is pretty reliable for the most part. Build quality is where they lack.

Better go light on the options on the Boxster too. Blink and those things are $75k+.
