overused word: "proper"
I don't want to sound like I'm being racist or using ethnic slurs, but, come on.....they're Brits. You should expect at least some of that. Like the terms "jolly", "bloody", "mate", "cheerio", "pip-pip", "lad", "lass", etc...., "proper" is simply a term that British, especially the older and more conservative ones, often use in their conversation...especially when describing something they agree with. I don't see any problem with it.....for that matter, I sometimes use the term myself in my auto-reviews,
also, i was born in britain, but have been in the u.s. far longer and have been a u.s. citizen for a looong time.
