2014 C7 Stingray
As of yesterday afternoon, I'm on the list to 'place' an order for build. I have no idea when but that's fine. Currently I'm liking this combo shown below with the 6spd Auto & paddles.
Not getting rid of my RX450h, just occupying the empty space next to 'Watson' to keep him company
. I name my cars and welcome suggestions for the new Stingray.
Two days ago I saw a photo in a mag of this car and an arrow was pointing to the drivers window with the quote "behind the glass is a balding late middle age man". Do you suppose ??? Nah
, couldn't be me.

I went through early adult life working for Porsche & Audi (together at the time) and swore I'd only drive sticks FOREVER and never a 'Vette. A word in the dictionary is 'EVOLVE'. It's what many of us do as we grow older. And Hey, I like the paddle shifters. And did I mention the 6 spd Auto Trans/axle behind the cabin??? But yea, I understand your comment.
For the record, the seven orders ahead of me are 1 7 spd stick and 6 Auto's with paddles. I guess you have to figure the price tag to some extent has placed the car where a lot of folks driving it are (well just not in their 20's any more)
.
As they get more firm on production #'s and dealer quota's they'll take my order and deposit. I'm buying from a dealer that I think is in the top 30% from last two years in vette sales so I should be OK.

Congrats. What a car !! Dont listen to people who say its a midlife crisis car. People who can afford cars like this work hard, have kids, and then buy the car when the kids are older and responsibilities are less. This means that the average buyer of all real sports cars are older 45-65 I would say. Vettes, GTR, Porsches, Viper, and even Ferraris and Lambos are not usually driven by young people...........because they are broke
i use to buy gm cars and trucks and my brothers use to build them.
i learned my lesson years ago on buying first year runs because you would be the guinea pig.as in sky and its sister car.hope gm puts a great vette out.
i bought a new 77 and a 04 vette and the 77 was a night mare, and the 04 was a great car.i may buy a vette in 2 or 3 years when they work out any problems if any out.
love your color combo and hope you enjoy your new toy when its made.
