Greetings, all.
I'm new to the forum, and recently new to the Lexus platform. I come from the world of GM LSx-based cars, but picked up a '94 ES300 as my only mode of transportation. I really like the car, and look forward to restoring some things on it to make it really nice. The car has 110,000 miles on with a slew of new parts including a newer motor, and new OEM suspension parts in the front. I need to replace a CV axle and fix a small power steering leak.
I'm currently a student at Arizona State University majoring in biochemistry, and graduate next year.
I look forward to using the forum as a useful tool, and learning more about the current model line-ups as well.
Cheers!
Dustin

Welcome to CL and to CAR CHAT.
Here in CAR CHAT, BTW, you don't have to own or drive a Lexus vehicle (or any vehicle) to participate.....we discuss virtually anything on four wheels (and sometimes on two, three, or six wheels). Some younger people join simply to discuss their first new or used-buying possibility.
As for your '94 ES300, the main thing on that vehicle to watch for, as a used-car, would be pretty much the same thing that affects a number of the older 3.0L Toyota/Lexus V6 engines......gel/sludge buildup in the oil-passageways from (previous) owners who neglected regular oil changes. That engine was simply not forgiving of extended-length drain-intervals, though it was at its worst only during certain model years...check with the Lexus service people for the details.

Thank you for the welcome, all!
I'll keep regular oil changes in mind, and appreciate the heads-up. The person whom I purchased it from replaced the motor with one of low miles from LKQ. It seems to have a sufficient oiling system, and is an extremely quiet-running engine so far.
Dustin
PS - I think the A/C system's expansion valve is sticking in the extreme heat (108+), as the compressor will randomly shut off or cycle excessively at times. It has the correct amount of refrigerant/oil, and will correctly cycle in the cooler temps (<100*).
