No way to allowing lane splitting. This is a horrible law. Witnessed yet another motorcyclist laid out on the ground on the highway this weekend in California. Hopefully he made it, but this is not an uncommon sight....

Reminds me of this old video from Chris Rock, though some parts of it are admittedly too stereotypic:

I love that video. The part with the Prelude is my favorite part!

Lifting an import ban is a traffic law?
Splitting lanes is foolish.
Coming towards a car in my lane doing a poorly timed "legal" high speed pass....uh not thanks
I'm old....test me...

Stop signs should act as yields. Seeing I see many people don't use them and they stop after the stop. What is the use to run the stop sign and stop after?

People who do the speed limit in the far left lane, should be ran off the road or have their license taken away.

Sometimes I feel that in rural areas stop signs should be treated as yield signs. When you can see miles either way, and no-one else is on the road, it makes no sense to stop. Problem is, this would quickly turn into a he said she said situation where people would play chicken to see who gets to the intersection first then blame the other one in an accident.

9.) Mandatory Driving Tests For The Elderly

No, how about REAL driving tests for EVERYBODY. I see more freaking idiots on the road and guess what, they are young, old, male, female, black, white, you name whatever your prejudice is, I can show you someone who should never have been issued a drivers license.

And you know why that will NEVER happen? The car manufacturer lobby would never allow it. It would mean only about 10 to 20 percent of current drivers would be allowed to own cars.

Sermon over.

I'm not sure that the manufacturers would be that gung-ho against it. First, as a group, they certainly don't want idiot or aggressive drivers constantly wrecking their vehicles (or causing othere to wreck), and second, it would lessen the pressure on them to spend a lot of time and money trying to make their cars idiot-proof. Mercedes and Volvo, especially, even more then most manufacturers, spend a ton of money on safety-features.

8.) Stop Signs Should Act As Yield Signs For Bicycles

We can’t remember how many times we and friends of ours have been ticketed for rolling through stop signs in completely empty, safe intersections. It’s bull****.

I don't agree with this at all. I'm glad cyclists are getting ticketed. I can't tell you how many times I've had cyclists flat out run me over (I'm a pedestrian) because they refuse to stop at stop signs.

Agree with it all! Lane splitting why not, more capable drivers needed or stains on the concrete.
I don't want to get too into, so I won't quote anyone, but some folks think they know what they talking about (maybe even me), but what happens in the real world(not their little bubble) is totally different.
