Default Where do Lexus repair labor rates rank against other premium brands?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the average hourly rate for a Lexus mechanic in the US and how it compares to the other luxury brands like Audi, BMW, Acura, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo? I was reading on a UK site that rates ownership costs of used cars and they stated that Mercedes and Jaguar are known to have the highest repair labor rates in the industry and I want to know if those of you have owned some or all of the aforementioned makes could validate/invalidate this statement. I know they are all expensive compared to to the "cost conscious" brands but I'm talking premium brand vs premium brand.

Lexus is about $15-$20 per hour cheaper than BMW in my area. That's what it was about a year or so ago.

So what does your Lexus dealer charge per hour? $15-$20 les per hour seems arbitrary without knowing what your lexus or BMW dealer charges.

I know with the older models you can take it to your Toyota dealer and save a ton of $$$$. Most independent shops will work on them too, unlike the German stuff.

labor rates are high up there, based on the arm and leg I have to give when I repair something.

just a little better than the arm, leg, and ***** that german car drivers have to fork over

i go to private mechanic now. lexuses are like toyotas underneath. easy fixing.

Oh I know, there are many shops that specialize in German cars. Just saying my local mechanic I trusts feels perfectly fine working on any issue I'll have with my 92 SC300. He said he'll work on German cars, but really turns away 2000+ cars with electrical problems.
