Default '67 Corvette 427 w/2996 miles

Pics.

http://www.vintagecorvettes.com/1967davis.html

It’s an original, unrestored 1967 Corvette 427 coupe. With only 2996 miles on it. Which hasn’t been driven regularly since October of 1967 or at all since the mid-1980’s. Only three people have ever sat in the car and nobody has ever been in the passenger seat. Only a dozen people have seen it before this week and only eight had seen it until February of this year. The seat belts have never been out of the retractors, the jacket on the seat has never been removed, and it hasn’t been washed, cleaned, sat in, or touched since it was found. A survivor in the most extreme definition of the word.

Where has it been for so long? Haha i wonder hat goes through peoples minds when they buy a car with the intention of never really driving or using it, like my grandfather and his 560sel.

It definitely looks nice in the pictures, but I'd be leery of some of those (apparant) bull-****** lines in the ad. Original 1967 air still in the tires, for instance.....nonsense. All of the factory-air would have slowly leaked out many years ago (even nitrogen doesn't last in tires forever), and, if not re-inflated, the tires would be flat today (and probably rubber-rotted). In fact, many of the car's rubber parts/seals and gaskets would have deteriorated and rotted over time if not replaced, especially those exposed to air every day like the wiper blades, weatherstripping, and those in the engine that were not kept lubricated by the engine-running and oil circulating. And, if the engine hasn't been run since the 1980s, one can only imagine what the inside of it looks like, even if it looks fine and pristine on the outside.

My advice is, if you are interested in this car, fine....it's a beauty, looks-wise, but be careful. You may end up needing a number of repairs/replacements, or even some minor restoration, despite the mint-looks.

Interesting story, but I couldn't imagine having a car like that and never driving it. I can understand minimizing the miles but never!

I don't think it being a coupe hurts That car at all.Probably not much for any coupe vs convertible BB.
Twice as many 'verts were made over coupes in '67.
The non stock engine parts if not available hurts the value a bit..
