Seat cushions after 50k miles?
my rx seat cushions have always been "crunched" at the side part where the front driver/passenger enter. i know that lexus side cushions are typically not very strong (my old 01 RX and 01 GS did the same thing over time), but i am wondering if this is normal.
especially my passenger side seat cushion is badly crunched and the underlying cushion material is smushed. sorry for the bad pictures, but you can kinda see the lump that has been created over the last 3 years from entering/exiting the car.
is this normal?

totally normal.
i hardly have a passengers, so the front seat is pretty new looking.
on my side, when exiting, i always "jump" out from the car (using one leg as support on the floor, one arm as a brace on the door jamb) so i don't slide off the seat creating the wrinkles. that's one downfall of not having sidesteps... when entering, i try not to sit on the edge or rub against the side bolster.
keeps it looking new!!
if i remember, i'll take some pics and post them. my baby is almost 3 years old @ 38K+ miles.

Same here. Mine is more noticeable since I have the light grey interior. I weigh about 138 lbs, and my wife is around 120 lbs, so its not like we are heavy either. I like to think I take good care of the leather and clean and condition often enough, so I know that's not the problem. I think that is how it is with Lexus seats.

The wrinkles are normal leather wear, and distinguish real leather from the fake stuff.
The trick is to keep the wrinkles from turning into cracks, which you do by using a "conditioner," which is like hand cream for leather. I use Zaino leather conditioner because it's the best I have found, and it smells great, but there are others out there on the market.
If the leather dries out, it will crack, even if the seat is not being used (although this will take some time). As far as I can tell from my readings, the experts seem to suggest applications of conditioner about every six months.
