Consumer Reports on Latest Detroit Sedans & Lexus ES

I've driven several Neons. I don't care how spacious or innovative the "cab-forward" design was, they were turds. Seeing a 90s era Neon is rare in my area and the ones you do see have sheets of paint flaking off or blown head gaskets.
As for contemporary reviews, lots of automotive rags in hindsight have regretted saying nice things about certain cars. The Renault Alliance, Vega, Pinto come to mind.

I don't want to necessarily second-guess a trained technician, but, with all due respect, I don't see how he can make that statement about the Dart. It has only been on the market a few months........clearly not long enough to have established a pattern of mechanical problems.

Its always funny to read the same media forget what THEY WROTE. My points aren't really about peoples opinions but these journalists who don't even take the time to read what their employer wrote a decade ago.

The company I work for has a Chrysler store, the Dart is selling as fast as we can get them, think we've sold 6 in the past week. I drove it and I was pleasantly surprised; this thing has a surprisingly good suspension.
It's good for what it is, before I'd pay $25k+ for a Dart I'd buy something nice that was used.
