The Smart-for-Two, of course, does have the advantage over a big heavy Crown Vic in that it can manuver and turn just about anywhere, and fit through places that a Crown Vic couldn't dream of. The downside, of course, is the tipsy handling from the Smart's high/narrow/short stance, propensity for roll-overs, and the obvious lack of occupant crash-protection if something does happen.
That chase was hilarious! Just watching it reminded me of the circus. When the cop clown car chases the bad guys. But on a serious note, I feel there is an unfair expectation of intelligence with smart car drivers.
