Default Chrome Plate Frames

Looking to add some license plate frames to my GX470 (the front really needs more chrome IMO).

What are the best ones,I just want plane frame-maybe just "LEXUS" on the bottom but want to go with a high quality?
I looked the Lexus OEM ones on Sewell they are $45 (each I think),which is fine as long as they don't pit up.Any other good choices out there ?

thanks for any recommendations

I bought a pair of these HEAVY brass license plate frames almost 10 years ago and the hard chrome one still looks great after many Michigan winters. The sealed brass one (not chromed) tarnished pretty badly due to winter salt. The price is steep, but worth every dime when compared to the alternatives.

I buy my license frames from here.Quality polished stainless steel frames and/or black powder coated stainless steel frames.
You have thin 2 hole.4 hole and thicker bottom frames choices.I like the thin design.
Made in the USA from superior quality 304 stainless steel and are backed by a 10 year guarantee from the manufacturer.
I'm not a fan of the Lexus script frames.

+1 on Gunthergifts. The heavy brass versions are the only frames I have put on my rides for the last several years, and they still look as good as the day I received them. You can get them "plain" or pick your own customized saying with your selection of fill-in color.

Thanks all, I like those hard chrome ones from gunter but they don't seem to have any in just plain(?).

Those autoattire ones are nice, how do the polished chrome hold up I wonder ?They are very reasonable too.

thanks for all the replies

I've had the polished SS chrome look ones for 4-5 years and they look great.
However,I'm a detail clean car nut and do clean and wax them often..
Cheap enough to replace after a few years if they should pit or tarnish.
I also like the thin design choice with 2 or 4 holes and made in the US rather than Taiwan etc junk..

Wouldn't the blank Gunthergifts one look a bit odd with a bigger bottom with no print?

I can drop one into their shopping cart without any customization. Suspect they simply don't discount any further (20% off now it says) if you have them blank. If that's what you end up wanting, suggest you can just give them a quick call or email to be sure. Good luck!

I had Prestige before I bought the JDM frames. They call them the Fort Knox of license plate frames. The screws are hidden in the corners. Never had a problem with the glass front breaking after several months. And yes, they do take several minutes to install.

Too bad you are far away, I have 3 of the Lexus frames in my garage and have no use of them. But the Lexus one is very durable and looks nice on the car. You should get it.

The Gunther site says they have a thin frame in hard chrome, but the link appears broken. You'll have to call.

Thanks all for the responses. I think I am leaning towards the polished ones from autoattire (after the gold chain ones of course ). Second would be the ones from Lexus but I think I really like that clean no logo look a bit better.

thanks for all the help
