Default Next Generation IS F with 450+ HP?

Best Car Magazine reports the next IS F will have a 450+ HP V8 and be available in a sedan, coupe and convertible. Obviously the rendering looks a little awkward but the stats look promising. Fingers are crossed that this will be a true M3 fighter.

2014/2015? Lexus IS F

Overall Length: 4680mm (184.3")
Width: 1820mm (71.7")
Height: 1400mm (55.1")
Engine: V8 DOHC
Displacement: 4968cc
Power: 475ps (469hp) @ 7000rpm
Economy: 10.0km/l (23.5mpg)

More on that GS F to come...

I'd love to see the IS-F in coupe form. I've always thought the IS should have been a coupe and an IS-F coupe would only be better! Hopefully that translates into a 3IS Coupe as well (besides the IS-C). I'm hoping too that this next IS-F will be a true M3 fighter/killer tho.

.....I wanna see more on the GS-F too

Now that is more like it, that be an actual shock though if Lexus brought out a coupe, sedan and convertible of the IS F.

I guess the convertible will be identical to the coupe in terms of looks, not like what we have now.

470hp at 7,000RPM? 23.5mpg?

That would be awesome!

Sounds hopeful! I like seeing the performance improvements and the addition of coupe form.

Good luck on the convertible, I would be happy with just a sedan and a coupe

Sound promising. With 460hp, and still return 23.5mpg? If the suspension and chassis rigidity improved, this will be the real M3 fighter.

So, Lexus is sticking with the V8 ? And the next M3 is going to use a 6 cylinder engine.....
