Infiniti's Emerg-E Supercar Concept Breaks Cover

We will admit that we weren't exactly wowed by the patent renderings, but our opinion change after we laid eyes on the real photos of Infiniti Emerg-E concept.
The Japanese premium brand's study is an impressive looking supercar with what we could even dare to describe as an Italian finesse in its styling. Of course, you'll find Infiniti's latest styling cues such as the pinched rear quarter window and the bulbous front grille, but it all works out nicely.
Infiniti has said that the Emerg-E will be propelled by a mid-mounted range-extender drivetrain comprising an electric motor and an internal combustion engine.
That's all we know for now, but with the Geneva show just around the corner, it's only a matter of days before Infiniti graces us with an official release detailing the concept model.

Front is nice but why the Lexus spindle grill?. Sides are odd, rear is nice and cool to see the exposed engine. Interior is cool for a concept car. Definitely looks different so good job. I do believe this is being built and not Essence Unicorn vaporware.
It looks really nice in that first pic!

Like we did with the LFA right? Lets be fair here, I love the LFA, but when was the first time they showed a concept for it? Yes, the NSX was on the ropes for a while, but now it is confirmed. And it should be somewhat affordable. I wonder if this will be around that price point, or between it and the LFA? I'd say the latter since the GTR is around 100K. That is if they produce it. My bet is they will.

It looks fabulous. My guess is that this is based on the Evora platform. There were some rumors a while back that Infiniti was working with Lotus on some project. The proportions look very similar to the Evora. If they tone down the gigantic wheels and a few other things, it would make an awesome car. I would love to see this rolling around on the streets.

Looks like it could be a rear engine sports car, just like the r8.
It even looks like the r8, and bit like the nsx concept. Not only that, but do you guys see a little bit of a resemblance in the back to the lf-lc?

Absolutely gorgeous! Infiniti's design language works well here. I think this segment will really heat up once we've got the NSX and Emerg-E going up against the likes of the 458, MP4, and Tesla Roadster. Lexus is hopefully working on a mass-produced successor to the LFA...
