It might have a Nissan badge, but I think GT-R could come from outer space, and it is actually on another planet from M5. GT-R 5, M5 0.
Total and utter annihilation.

btw, is it only me, or M5 has ceased to look aggressive? It could be 520d with M-Sport appearance package to most people.

Thanks for the link but may be you should not put the score on it so that you don't spoil the video?

Thanks for bring that up. I full heartedly agree it lacks aggression. Merely looks sporty albeit a bit bloated. I blame that extra 400lbs over the E60 . But back to the looks, it looks tamed . XFR and E63 get my vote before this does now

I'm sorry, but there is no way in he!! there was nearly a 2 second difference to 100mph between the two cars. I counted 1 1/2, maybe 2 car lengths between the two, and at 100mph, that is a mere fraction of a second.

GTR: 7.35
M5 : 9.04

NO WAY!

I like the last model m5 way way better. It looks more stylish and aggressive.
From what I read it feels more aggrressive with that screaming v10.

The new car seems too sedate, built more for driving comfort. Electronic assisted steering, generic styling, quiet ride....what happened to the ultimate driving machine. To top it off the engine note come from fake recorded sound through the speakers.

I don't even understand comparing it to the mighty Godzilla.

Maybe the comparison should have been between a M6 and a GTR??

I think the M6 would go back crying to Bavaria.

Disappointed with the M5... and I was a BIG fan of the M5. They could have called this a 550 M-sport and I'd be okay with it. But to tarnish the M5 name with this? Sorry BMW, I won't be leasing one.

Pretty much.

Driving a F10 5 series is like driving a 7 series but with less leg-room and boot-space. How anyone can describe a current generation 5 series as sporty is beyond me. I guess if one were to define "Sportiness" narrowly in terms of straight-line acceleration and not in terms of agility and tossability.

For me, the new M5 has become the old AMGs of yesteryears : "Fast Furniture"

i still like both cars. On a performance level they are both very satisfying driving machines. it's no surprise that the GTR out performs it either. This car is typically matched up with high end Porsches, Gallardo's and Z06s The M5 is a great car but obviously out matched.
