As my father had owned a beautiful Mark VIII back in the 90's and I always loved the design, I've been telling myself that the Ford's chief of design should be shot for the longest time now...
I certainly do. I grew up with the big Continentals 40 years ago. People today, even with so-called "luxury cars", don't know what a smooth ride is. THAT was a smooth ride.
I agree. My father was more of a Buick man at that time, but those cars were comfortable and floaty. Even the seats were cushy and very comfortable in my opinion.
That was what they were saying would be the big upcoming change and improvement? What a crock. They are still butt ugly turds! There must be a 70 year old guy designing these, because that's who I see driving them at the coiffure hair salon parking lot.
FAIL
I was thinking the exact same thing! I was expecting change of some significance, but two mildly refreshed vehicles are not what I had in mind. Between this and the Acura beak I think this grille is even uglier. Lincoln needs to end because it is trying too hard to become a luxury automaker without any real results. Where are the new models?
The rebirth of a brand doesn't happen overnight, so until Lincoln debuts its next generation of fully redesigned and reimagined products, subtle evolution and continued refinement are the order du jour. Hence the 2013 Lincoln MKS.
Read the entire article, and it's almost as if Lincoln is saying "look we havent gotten around to designing anything new yet, so take this for now and wait for us to do something." Really not gonna win over new customers that way. Sad to say, but i think I actually apreciate the previous one even more now. Don't know what it is, with all of the new models coming out, just makes you appreciate the outgoing one even more. Lincoln better pull it together. Their "craziness" for me began with the current designed Navigator. Went downhill even further from there.
