We've discussed TV auto-insurance ads on CAR CHAT before (many of us agree those ads are an insult to one's intelligence), but I don't think we've ever had a formal poll on them. So.....what's your take on the worst of them? (or the best, if you actually like any of them).

the general ones are just so horrible....and production quality is like its from the 80's lol
Yeah, they finally had to slow down the General's too-fast, gruff-voice in the ad's sign-off so you could actually make out what he was saying.
To me, all of the ads I listed are silly, but I think the worst is probably a tie between GEICO's Cave-Man and Money-Bundle ads. A shame, too, because I think it's a pretty good company overall.....I've been with them for almost 30 years, and have been treated very well.
Progressive's Flo can get on your nerves with her silly acting, but she is perky and cute.

The caveman ones are just awful. I don't even know if they use them anymore.
Yeah, the Cave Man still makes an appearance now and then. Most of the GEICO ads today, though, are with the little green lizard....I haven't seen the "money-bundle" ones for at least few months.
The General ones are annoying, and really low quality - makes me think that they're a really shady company.
You can finally make out what he is saying, now, in the ad's sign-off (they improved the audio).....before, his voice was just too fast and garbled.
I've never even seen the googly eyed stack of money.
They were on for a long time, but the Gecko-Lizard pretty much took them over.
I hate Progressive, The General, and State Farm. Love the Geico ads (the ring a ding ding song is my ringtone), Mayhem is awesome. Dennis Haysbert Allstate I don't mind.
