Default 2011 Audi S5 or 2011 M3

Hi All,

I currently have the 2008 Lexus IS-F and thinking of trading it in for the 2011 or 2012 Audi S5. No particular reason of why I'm trading it in, I just want something new and different. I am thinking of the Audi S5 or the 2011 BMW M3, I would like to know everyone's opinion. Thanks for everyone's help!

My dad was asking me the same question last week. He loved the feel of the M3 but the outdated interior design really bothered both him and I. The S5 was so stylish both inside and out. We both agreed the car was what we were looking for in terms of aesthetic design. Although slower than the M3, the S5 is still an exciting and pleasing car to drive. How much power do we really need :P? After both test drives he decided on the S5. He got a 2012 black/black three days ago. The car is amazing. I drove it on two occasions and I love it. Such a nice car... I love the m3 too, but i wont consider it until they work on their interiors. Hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I really agree with what you have to say. After driving the ISF for about 3 years, I can only think of a few instances where I actually had the chance to use the power of the ISF in the nasty Los Angeles Traffic.

Audi currently has the upside right now to me due to the aesthetics of both the interior and exterior of the car. The power of the M3 is the only reason why I'm still considering it.

By the way, the 2012 Audi S5 is out already in the dealerships? I thought they don't hit the door until September'ish?

Have you driven your two options yet? That should help you in your decision

even though i sent you a pm with further details, just to clarify yes the 2012 has been released. I was shocked too since it seems too early, but my dad is driving one now so it has to be true We actually called about 4-5 dealers around my area and they all said they would call him when one arrives. 3 days ago one dealership got one in. my dad called the others to see if they had any yet to compare his options but none had them. He likes to believe he has the first one in nj Anyways it seems as of now they are hard to find this early, but they are out there.

There are relatively few things that look better than an Audi coming down the street toward you these days. Just pure sex

unless you are really really into the styling and look of the s5, i would get the m3. you have isf now so i assume you like performance. the s5 won't give you anything like that. but it looks way cooler than the m3

but which car sounds better? I personally don't care much for the looks of the A5/S5 but I seem to be the minority here.

also...have you considered the CTS-V?
