having internet in the car ....not a great achievement. I have it in my car too. and it was a 2003 mazda6.
fyi...all you need is one of three:

1. a mobile broadband router like from sprint
2. a phone capable of working like a router eg. HTC topaz, touch diamond, hd7, etc
3. a satellite communication like Directv broadband. This is the more complex solution.
