Shortcut to turn Display Screen off?

Shortcut to turn Display Screen off?
I like to drive without the distraction of the display screen on at times, but it seems like it takes 3-4 steps each time to get to the Display, Screen Off menu buttons.
Does anyone know of a shortcut to do this while driving? Is there a user programmable button that can be assigned certain functions?
