SuperBowl Car Ads
I'm a Ford guy, but the Chevy commercial I just saw with the Silverado "acting as Lassie" had me ROFL. The Doritos and Bud Light commercials have been pretty funny thus far too
I didn't care for the Cruze commercial. I liked the Kia ad, though. They just had the short version of the Passat ad. It loses something when shortened. The Silverado ad is the winner so far, followed by the Audi.
Liked the Silverado 'Lassie' one a lot
followed up closely by the Audi ad.
I agree the Passat ad lost a little in its short version but it was still very good.
The Kia ad did nothing for me
Still have one more half to go though.
PS I saw the Lexus The Hard Way ad about 30 mins before kick off I think

just saw the old acura tsx commercial followed by the lexus IS commercial.
FWD drifting vs RWD drifting.
nice timing.
using Eminem to market Chrysler's "luxury".......... ?
doesn't make me wanna buy it.

Just saw the 1 minute Chrysler 200 commercial a little while ago and I couldn't believe it when Eminem exited the car. A lot of it focused on the fact that it's purely a Detroit built machine. Very well done.
Problem is that Chrysler is marketing the 200 as "luxury" in this add, lol. Are they serious?
The 300's not even luxury.
Anyway, this whole domestic pride thing Chrysler is doing lately may work for them. Lately, even I've been getting the itch to go American for my next car. It sure as hell won't be Chrysler though. Ford and GM are working wonders though.

Hyundai's Elantra commercials are good. It's really looking great. The commercials focus on the 40 MPG rating and pushes the idea that a compact car can be so much more than what is traditionally believed. And it is!

I thought Hyundai would use this Superbowl to push the Equus much like they did with Genesis 2 years ago. They haven't though.
However, they just ran a Sonata hybrid commercial. First ad on TV for it. Nothing special though (the ad). As for the car, a great performer but I can't get past the hybrid's grill.

p.diddy and mercedes wasn't as bad.
when they said "the new chrysler 200", I chuckled and thought, "yeah. the new old sebring."
advertising the equus would be a waste, as it is unattainable and unwanted by most super bowl viewers, and it's almost double the price of a genesis.
