well, pay to play, unfortunately that's how i see it (both living in cali and owning expensive cars). can't say i have much feeling about the reg fee, or more like i just don't look at it
Exactly, registration is small portion of total cost of premium car ownership.
I license my cars in Ohio & it's very reasonable....$56.00 I think. But just across state lines in KY & IN it's hundreds of dollars, depending on value. Like KY people aren't poor enough...at least in CA you guys have decent weather & purdy things to look at...
order of magnitude? someone in here said they were paying over 2k in registration, and i doubt they're paying 20k in property taxes!
my car reg to prop tax is actually 2 orders of magnitude different.
errr... you should really come to cali and take a look. having 10k for property tax isn't super crazy here. i am in town home and my property tax is already close to 8k.
