Default Navigation DVD installation/setup problem?

I bought a used Gen 4 version 8.1 DVD off the internet for my '05 SC430. I followed some directions off the internet on how to install it...pretty simple eject old DVD and insert new one.

The new DVD seemed to work fine. New streets that were not showing up before were now showing up on the map!! Great!! I then went to enter an address to navigate too I could not get it to find any addresses, businesses, in the local area?!?! I pressed find nearest 5 cities and it said "No cities found within 20 miles"?!?! No I do not live in the sticks

Are these DVDs have some sort of region code? Do I need to set some region field on the console? Or did I just buy the wrong DVD?

Thanks,
B2

welcome to clublexus.

press on DEST, on the right you should see a map of the US, and there should be a change button. are you sure you have selected the correct region?
