Amazing read...basically a group tries to drive along the equator....no cars have been in this jungle in 25 years....the last group had to be rescued by helicopter..

Out of 30 vehicles only 14 have made it to this gorge so far. 9 or so have gone down into the swamp and 4 or 5 are still in there. The rest of the expedition is behind us, still trying to get past the other 2 rivers.
Eventually we get to this ferry. The kids and their father push us across for 0.20 c a bike. This sure beats the last river crossing !
