Hi guys
before one year i bought e60 530i after one month of buying the car i noticed a sound behind the rear left wheel when the car is switched off
I tried to follow the sound but i coundnt know exactly where- any ideas?
the sound looks like a fuel pump or a fan sound
my car milage:70,000 km
I know guys some of you started to hate me becoz this is a lexus forums , the reason im asking here becoz i love this forum.
im worried and confused
i forgot to mention that i changed my fuel filter after that i read in the internet that the fuel filter is life time filter and no need to change it i dont know if this thing may cause the problem or even its a normal sound in all cars

OP, you might have better help in the general car chat forums as some owners of Lexus ALSO own BMW'S and some are mechanics and could help you out.....or you could try a BMW forum. guys although it wasn't the best especially since it wasn't Lexus related there is no need to bash him. where is our community love? ....remember he is ALSO a 2gs owner (i think)

 

How did I miss this? OP I edited your title b/c we have E60 owners here. Bimmerforums might be a better bet but we shall see if people can help here.

 

Check the bimmer forums for more info. There are a lot more bmw guys on the bimmer forums than there are here

 

Can OP describe the sound a little bit more? Not what you think it might be, just what it sounds like.

I have a couple theories but I don't want to throw them out premeturely.
