the 2IS is a lot more common then the 3GS so the 3GS would probably get more looks.
the 1IS is pretty rare and the 2GS is pretty common so the 1IS would get more looks

The early IS didn't stand out for looks outside of Altezzas. The new model everyone seems to love how it looks, enthusiasts and regular people.

I agree. The 2GS is so distinctive and recognizable you can spot it without even looking for it. the 3GS often just blends into traffic, although still a nice looking car, just not as distinctive. The 1IS for me is definitely a distinctive looking car but not my style. the 2IS is a much better looking car IMHO so seems to stand out more for me.
