Is it legit (i.e. thru Playstation Network)? Or is it via illegal download?
Of which I'm personally against the latter because it does disgrace to the game.

I would totally download it but 19 GB screw that plus I have my GT5 on preorder... I can for sure wait for it to be released. I bet Sony pissed that a copy floating around the internet.
It depends on the person. I do not know anyone who has never pirated.
I do admit that most of my PSP games are downloaded (from Tekken 6 to DJ MAX) but I do a have few original games (like Armored Core and Ghost in the Shell SAC)
What I meant was that: If one wants to mod the console or use PS Jailbreak because you don't want to pay for legit and original PS3 games and/or services, fine. However, what's disturbing with PS Jailbreak is of the reports I heard where PSN can still be accessed even when the hack is installed/enabled.
My stance is that it shouldn't be the case as there should be a way to deter piracy or give incentive so that users won't resort to illegal mods. (ie. like what MS is doing where illegal console modding will ban you from XBOX LIVE)

Hasn't gotten the great reviews I expected. All the reviews, for the most part are positive, but all of them express disappointment with it. Only at 86 of metacritic.
