this is a little off topic....but first - id go with the S5 all day.
ok... my uncle is trying to determine if hes getting a good price from a private party on a 2009 audi S5. It is automatic. meteor gray/magma red. carbon inlays, bang olufsn sound, tech pkg, navigation..audi side assist. 20K miles. remaining warranty from audi still stands. all maintenance done at dealership. 9/10 condition inside and out.
seller asking $46,500 including shipping charges to houston. Im sure my uncle could wiggle a couple thousand more. at $45K with shipping charges included is that a good deal?
I imagine the guy could have taken it to the dealership...its obvious they must be offering him less for it but how much??? he has a lien through bank of america. i would imagine that dealerships would want a car like this becasue its a hard car to get a hold of. Again, if hes probably goign to let it go for $45K, how much would a dealer offer him them??
what do you guys think? any thoughts? comments appreciated.
shipping will cost him $1000. is that a good price at $45000 with shippign included? i cant imagine why a dealer would only give him what? - $40-$43K for it? KBB book is high on the car.
scroll all the way to the bottom and there will be a dropdown menu saying june 2010. click on it and choose may 2009. read them all and work your way up. good luck!
Everyone as noted have different opinions. Why even bother posting something like this? Get out there, drive both, ask yourself which serves your needs the best. Both are great cars and nobody should knock you either way in your decision. Buy what you want, not what we want. But...since your obviously interested in image more than anything else based on (what your neighbors own, etc) the Benz has the perception of being a higher end car.

I bought a private party - Audi S5. Im a 28 year old single guy - well for right now anyway.... I guess I could use it for 2 years and then get rid of it. My payment is $450/month for 24 months, with $4K down and then a $33K balloon that can has to be paid in full, refinanced or car sold altogether.
included permaplate protection inside and outside. Also included audi care. I think i did pretty good.
should be here within a week - will post pictures....get this car - better than any other looking cope on the road by far. Kills everything in its class overall and hands down -the best interior finish and quality iv ever seen.
