Nice design as usual . What up with the ride height in the first picture. It looks lifted

Old car was perfect to me and clearly influential. Considering the CLS started this look it would have been hard for them not look like they "copied" the 2nd gen but it really is just them following the CLS theme.

Like the GS, its not their fault everyone copied the damn car.

ummm i never liked the tail and rear 1/4 profile of the current CLS, so i guess i'm still not a fan of the new one, but i do like the front, sporty and aggressive.

The front headlights seem much better looking than the current ones, but the back are still horrendous.

Hit the nail on the head. I'll admit I'm the first person to say "x car looks like y," but in this case, the original was copied so much MB would have to radically change the entire shape for it not to look like them.

I know the basic shape is hot, I like it. But I'm still a bit troubled by the drooping character line on the sides.

Maybe the ride height in first pic was lifted with spacer things for transportation on ship. Doesn't look those are the correct US market OEM tire/wheels.

it looks ok, like the trunk better than current one

but overall the current one seems slicker and more aero dynamic

I like it. That CLS350 must be the V6 version. Hope it has the updated 300hp powertrains

The CGI label at the rear indicates that this is the direct-injected 292-horsepower 3.5 V6 currently on sale in Europe. I don't think the North American market will get a V6 CLS, though.

The car looks pretty good. The raised appearance might be due to the Airmatic suspension. I think there's some sort of option that slightly raises the car for better comfort and at higher speeds lowers it for less drag and better handling. I'm not sure about this, though.

Not necessarily, this mule was in Europe. but I do think it would benefit lowering the price for an entry level CLS and gaining some new customers here in the states. I guess if MBZ see's fit that there's a market for it here in the US, then yeah we'll get it. But I'm with you, I hope they bring it over
