Muscle Car to me means big V-8. I don't care if the V-6 or I-4 or whatever has turbos, or 500hp or whatever...V-8 is mandatory.
While I agree the Camaro interior is ridiculous, I just think its a fantastic looking car and the Vette engine inside makes me cream. I love the updates to the Mustang but incremental performance differences don't mean much to me.
So Camaro gets my vote.
Since the list is wide, my wide vote for muscle car goes to a used IS-F or E55....

I guess there are two approaches to the term "muscle car", thus my putting it in quotes in the original post.
Traditionally, yes it must be RWD with a V8 and pretty much just go in a straight line.
Non-conventionally, cars like the Z, Supra, and RX7/8 have always challenged the necessity of 8 cylinders and done equally as well with 6 or fewer. Not to mention that they have always been pretty good handling cars as well.
Different cars...different philosophies...roughly the same money

With the Mustang GT and Camaro at around 40k or less it seems like these are great bargains for their performance. makes you wonder if it worth spending an extra 20k-30k for a C63,isf or m3.
As some others stated, I don't think of anything with less than 8 cylinders as a "muscle car." Though it's a boat, I'll vote for the Challenger here.
Lexus Test Driver
I picked the challanger, but really if I had the money, I would buy a used IS-F. With 400hp the IS-F is a true power wise, muscle car!

Seems like the new Mustang 5.0 is THE CAR to beat in this group.

Explorehaha calling a 370z a "muscle car" is weird but i can see why its called that. anyway i would choose the 370
Camaro gets my vote.
That gorgeous exterior and the drive train options are just to good to resist.

V6 stang + performance package is around $25k, GT Stang is 30.5k and has all the performance options the V6 + perf package gets, might as well get the GTOriginally Posted by 05EX
