Subaru Tribeca Recalled
Subaru has issued a recall for 1,585 2010 Subaru Tribecas for mispositioned door latches. Apparently, during production some door latch cables were installed improperly, so that when the window is rolled down the cable might catch in the door glass regulator, and that will open the door. The recall has begun and Subaru dealers will fix both latches for free. If you are one of the affected, you can find the full report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after the jump.

The recalled them for a nose translplant. They decided the new models weren't ugly enough when compared to the previous Tribeca.

Better to get that problem fixed.
But the Tribeca has another problem too, death spiral sales trend . At 175 units sold in February it's heading into Acura RL sales territory.

With sales like that it might not be long for this world. They recalled 1,500 2010's, most of them are probably sitting on dealer lots.

Poor gas mileage, unusable 3rd row seats, $30k base, least amount of HP in its class. What's not to like?

Rapid depreciation, expensive parts and service, ugly too.

I believe that the ugliness is in part due to GM. The B9 Tribeca was also supposed to be a Saab, which entails odd styling.

I concur with this statement.
This window switch thing is a trick to get the Tribeca owners to bring 'em in.
